SF Locksmith works van & mobile workshop
Ernie the Fastest Milkman in the West; Bandit from Smokey and the Bandit, and yours truly – what do these three people have in common? No, it’s not that, or that…and I’ll thank you not to be so rude. It is of course that we all mainly work from our respective mode of transport, whether that be an ice cream van, a delivery truck, or my trusty locksmiths van.
And whilst I wouldn’t claim to have a moustache as impressive as Burt’s, nor an eye for the ladies quite as obvious as Ernie’s, we do share the common theme that our jobs would be nigh on impossible to do from a fixed location.
Yes, there are ice cream parlours, and yes, there are some locksmiths who work from a shop, but personally speaking, there is no way I could do my job without being fully mobile. You might have seen me driving around the area in my works van which, to all intents and purposes, is my very own mobile workshop containing everything I need to complete most jobs. It has so many advantages for the customers in my work and I’d just like to mention a few of those today.

A quick response
Working remotely allows me to reach most locations in the region within an hour. I can pick up calls or messages from my mobile phone and be with customers as speedily as possible. So if you’ve locked yourself out of your house or office, I can be on the scene and getting you out of the cold much more quickly than if I was based in a shop and had to wait for it to close before popping out. In many instances I’ll be with you, be able to get you in to your property, and be off again, in about the same time as it takes to get through to speak to someone in a call centre in many organisations.
Wider availability of appointments
People don’t just need a locksmith on weekdays from 9 until 4. And it’s not always safe or convenient to wait a couple of days for an appointment for a call out. Working out and about means I am much more flexible in when I can attend. It may be that I’m in the area on another job, or passing by, and I can assist you. If I’m not able to, then I’ll be upfront about this and tell you the soonest time I can attend.

Remote locations
There aren’t many places I can’t get to with my van. So if you’re out on the road, perhaps at a farmhouse out in the sticks, I will still do my very best to be with you as soon as I can. I carry all the tools I need in my van so it’s more than likely I can fix the problem on a first visit, reducing costs.
No stinting on expertise
I may work remotely, but that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on expertise. With 20 years experience, and a wealth of knowledge in the field, I continually keep up to date with all the latest developments in the industry. You can rest assured I’m a member of the Association of Accredited Locksmiths, and have all the necessary police and insurance approval.
Customer satisfaction
Don’t just take my word for it. I welcome customer comments on my site, and through independent rating sites or Google reviews. Word of mouth is still one of the strongest recommendations, and I am happy and grateful for customers’ kind words after I’ve successfully finished a job that have enabled me to build up a reputation over the years as a reliable, efficient locksmith. It’s why I’m proud to be seen driving my van around the region. I may not have the ladies chasing me a la Benny Hill’s Ernie, nor the police chasing me like the Bandit, but neither do I have angry ex customers chasing me down with pitchforks! Rather, I hope customers see me and remember the professional service I’ve provided – it’s the best form of advertising there is.
