Composite door lock repair in Whiston, Rotherham

Today we attended a property in Whiston, Rotherham, where a composite door leading into a conservatory had suffered a locking mechanism failure.

Fortunately, the door was open and, as it was inside the conservatory, there was no immediate security concern. However, the door still needed repairing.

ERA Invincible gearbox replacement

After inspecting the door, we identified a failed ERA Invincible multipoint locking gearbox.

The ERA Invincible isn’t one of the most common mechanisms we encounter, but we replaced the faulty gearbox with an identical new one.

During the repair, we also discovered that the composite door was badly out of alignment. This had probably contributed to the original gearbox failure by putting unnecessary strain on the locking mechanism.

We adjusted the door hinges, corrected the alignment and serviced the locking mechanism.

The door now opens, closes and locks perfectly, with no unnecessary pressure on the new gearbox.

All work is covered by our two-year parts and labour guarantee.
